Sitting all day isn't healthy. But you work all day on the computer... or perhaps you just play games and watch videos on the computer all day? In which case this topic is also for you out of mercy.
Standing desk is easy to manufacture.
Either take a table (simple plastic folding table or anything), and stick like $10-20 of concrete bricks underneath. Then finetune with small bricks.
And use some kind of prop/stand for the screen and the keyboard & mouse to get everything at a comfortable height.
Option 2: Vesa mount the monitor and get a wall-mounted shelf for the keyboard + mouse. Or use a deep wall-mounted shelf and a laptop stand.
Now, the next evolution of the standing desk is the treadmill desk. To make this, you either remove the arms from a treadmill and carefully affix the console to the desk, or buy a walking pad model without the arms.
Now you can watch 20 minute show episodes while doing 20 minute walks at a tolerable but sweat-inducing speed.
How should work feel in paradise? Perhaps the way a 20-minute video walk feels. It's great.
A slightly lower desk/table can have an exercise bike stuck under it, which is a real workout; that's great if the treadmill gets too easy.
Smaller, more portable stepper machines can also fit under these standing desks easily. The are less exciting to use, though.
